It’s another week of crypto, and a rather good one at that. We’ve had some movement to the upside, which feels good after such a long crypto winter.
Algorand gaming news
Gunny releases free NFTs: If you followed by Twitter (search frugalbc.algo) you would have been alerted to Gunny offering free NFTs. According to Gunny, they did this because they wanted access to the games to be free. To play their upcoming shooter, you will need a hero and an inugi - Inugi’s are the critters they wanted to give away. BTW, the game looks cool.
Cosmic champs updates include reward pool: The Cosmic Champs team updated their game recently, and that includes a reward pool. It also includes some other updates such as a fireball spell which, instead of summoning a character, simply delivers damage to a target. Cosmic Champs is a tower defense game in which you use energy to deploy characters to attack the enemy’s base and defend your own.
Algorand governance period 9
So announcement, I am participating in governance period 9! I decided to see what would happen if I put 100 algo into Messina One’s pool. Check it out to see all the benefits, but basically it makes governance much more automatic and foolproof, plus helps you earn additional rewards through its mAlgo token.
Hedera news
Cryptoworth - automated crypto accounting on Hedera: A company named Cryptoworth performs automated crypto accounting and it operates on the Hedera Hashgraph network. One of its customers, by the way, is one of the world’s largest tax and advisory firms.
Metaverse on Hedera?: A company called MetaVRse unveiled that their upcoming metaverse project, meetopia, will include its transactions on the Hedera Hashgraph network. Let’s take a look at this cool project here.
Cost-effective payments to Africa: Hedera is partnering with payments app Flutterwave to bring affordable payments to Africa.
Hello Future launches: The Hello Future conference launched this weekend, Oct. 6-8 in LA. We will share some video from the conference.
Town Star
Node joke: People who bought Town Star NFTs are still pretty cooked that earn has been off for more than a year with seemingly no change in sight. But how about people who bought nodes? Even worse. Now Gala is transitioning them to Common Ground World nodes, where they will earn dirt, a fake token with no utility or exchange value, but that will supposedly have some value in the future. In other words, exchanging empty promises for empty promises. An account by the name of Old Man Smithers has a great breakdown.
